* Endless useless meetings, papers, about nothing, takes forever to actually do some meaningful work * Too process-heavy, too many people work to maintain those processes since their job safety depends on them, they hinder and block people who want to do real work and prevent any meaningful reforms * Many projects don't actually make sense and exist only to fulfill entrenched interests of a bloated middle management * Too much office politics and inter-departmental/functional infighting * Middle management is captured by people who are good at networking and politicking but not actually good at their job, lack of meritocracy is pushing real workers down and out, decisions are made by people who are not compotent and not based on the best interests of the company
