Pros

A solid strategy for growth and you get the safety feeling that your job is backed by the management decision. The teams and the culture are amazing. At least it fits me. Very passionate and results-driven mentality. I love the mix between tech and sports

Cons

We are a sports betting company in Germany. That means the perception in the society is not great. Which is a shame. We work on innovative products and are one of the most interesting companies in Germany. Of course we have our problems: vacation days could be more, hybrid working model could be 100% remote, and working from abroad is limited to 10 days. And yes, the water cooler is sometimes also empty.

Pros

Working for a large betting provider sounds good on a resume.

Cons

Members who work for a long time at the project are very toxic toward newcomers and tend to create maximum stress for them, often nitpicking every minor detail during code reviews for artificial or questionable reasons which they can make up on the fly. The overall code quality is very low but company ego as if this were a top-tier company like Google and people are nothing. There is also a practice of temporarily moving employees between teams for a single task — and every team I interacted with demonstrated the same toxic behavior.
