Pros

Many employees are friends and connecting with people is really easy

Cons

I'm for 8 years in the company. 6 under the "old", strict and number driven management and 1.5 under the "new" one. The new management is inexperienced in the industry, it feels like management by uncertainty. Town hall meetings are very fluffy and it seems like the person presenting it sees the content and slides also for the first time. The management (C level) seems to just be half-heartedly involved nowadays. This is also visible when looking at the bonus: in 8 years, this year is the first one where the performance was rated below 100%. The message to the team: "it's just about a bit of money, it's not a problem". After so many years in this company and just before a big company is acquiring Tipico, this development is just a shame. Someone from HR will reply here: please speak to us. But oh boy. I did. I spoke to my manager. I raised concerns in employee surveys (which anyways never get discussed). I spoke to a C level. I spoke to an HR business partner. This company is not about improving. It just doesn't care anymore about employees or individuals. It's about politics and who is the strongest while it feels that nobody is really interested in the core principles of the industry anymore.

Pros

Working for a large betting provider sounds good on a resume.

Cons

Members who work for a long time at the project are very toxic toward newcomers and tend to create maximum stress for them, often nitpicking every minor detail during code reviews for artificial or questionable reasons which they can make up on the fly. The overall code quality is very low but company ego as if this were a top-tier company like Google and people are nothing. There is also a practice of temporarily moving employees between teams for a single task — and every team I interacted with demonstrated the same toxic behavior.
