Pros

Texas Instruments owns fabs and thus, is likely to be around for a long time. The people who work here are smart.

Cons

They have a tendency to abandon ship when they aren't the best solution in the market place, meaning if your product isn't growing faster than the competition they will just lay you off rather than try and solve the underlying problem.
