Great job security - but it's expected with a compromise - poor pay. free food and beverages - compromise - employees are always together (with managers) and less opportunities to know the real job market.
Cons
Poor pay - advantage of a great job security. politics and discrimination in career growth - Coimbatore office most preferable for Keralites and Coimbatore natives. poor knowledge economy - opportunities to learn are minimal - technical work can be sufficiently handled by a fresh graduate - so long-termers are normally not high salaried - dumbos exist and are sufficient. poor and inexperienced mid-level managers - supported by fast growth in headcount in the years 2008-2012, there are many new mid-level managers/direct managers with poor people handling competence - mostly drive the employees crazy and motivate them to quit. Attrition is increasing - but will not be visible on papers - as intake is sufficient to reduce this to a low level. Hardware domain is very hard to find a switch !
