Pros
The work environment offers a significant degree of freedom for professionals at different levels. The firm's global presence is definitely a plus and contributes in building your personal resume and helps in marketing and netowrking efforts as it is viewed by others as a big firm with deep pockets.
Cons
A glaring lack of vision on the company's future goals is evident to all employees. The morale of most of the employees is pretty low, and that can be partially attributed to the weak economy. Although a big firm, there is virtually no interaction between staff at different offices; again could be in part because of the acquisition based growth model as opposed to organic internal growth. The acquistion model results in creating individual profit centers without a coherent vision or actions aimed to integrate these centers. Lack of senior management interest in training employees to become the company's future leaders. Weak benefits package including no bonuses offered to employees, except the senior management.
