Pros

- Favourable compensation. - Very favourable benefits (health, dental, pension, etc.). - Unique benefits (free books, gym bursary, education bursary). - Huge career opportunities to grow into. - Hyper-growth atmosphere so it's never boring. - Experienced leadership team guiding the ship. - Friendly, open atmosphere. - Incredibly transparent leadership when it comes to decisions & information leading to said decisions. - Regular travel opportunities if you want them. - Clear promotion paths. - Smart, interesting & often very experienced colleagues to work with. - It's hard, long work sometimes - but the reward is high. Most good managers will expect you to take time off after long, hard days. - You can work from home (or the beach, or wherever) in most scenarios.

Cons

- Information overload, especially when you're new. Need to learn how to decrypt some of it. - There's a clear slump everyone hits about 2 years into the role. Stick with it and it's rewarding. - Compensation & benefits are good, but not above anyone else (despite what the culture deck says). - Heavy focus on culture blurs what's needed sometimes. - Dublin is missing access to US leadership. - Management promotion is great but management training sucks. Smart people figure it out, but not everyone has that bent. - Forward thinking to some degree, but have had huge mishaps (Dublin office is like a hospital ward until we get new space, for example). - Dublin facilities pale in comparison to US.

Thanks for the thoughtful review and glad to hear you work from the beach from time to time, that sounds delightful!! Would love to chat about how you think we can overcome the two year blip in a more meaningful and scalable way, and on how we can ensure DubSpotters have access to leadership, not just in person, but also for meetings, discussion, etc. Happy to connect in person or via Hangout to chat further on this if you're open to doing so. On the facilities, you're right to push on the difference, but hopefully by Q2 that will no longer be an issue--look forward to connecting if you're open to chatting more 1:1 about your experience to date. Cheers, Katie

Pros

The teams you work with are phenomenal. The knowledge combination between an internal customer facing teams, engineering product development teams, and Sales are unmatched.

Cons

Excessive use of PIPs to oust employees after multiple high revenue launches, with no explanation, actual documentation, or factual data. Reviews have been adjusted to allow for terminations post pre-approved leaves. Salaries are a joke. You are always in a cover yourself mode 24/7. Management reviews are consistently a 2 or 3 out of 5 no matter what. If a team decides you aren’t in the group, management will put you on a “unofficial” PIP without telling you, in order to surprise you at a later date. Even if they are unfounded. Beware of possibility of negative backlash post launches. They will feel the need to assign blame ( such as for timelines or issues related to bugs). Regardless of performance or level of involvement. This is an enormous company with many large paths for career advancement. But micro management is rampant, leaving little room for doing the daily expectations of your actual role. This degrades your opportunities for career advancement.
