It depends on the team and manager under which you are working. For the team that I worked in, the manager was giving more value to the older employees instead of newly joined employees despite being the senior people were sometimes wrong also. Senior people used to insult for the help when asked as a new member. Teamwork was not that much. People used to escalate to manager when helping the new members which was not a good behaviour. So, I can see that as a con.
