Pros

You get the experience you need for bigger companies without needing a&p licences

Cons

The work hours aren't solid and if you have no plane then you have no work and no paycheck. This job isn't stable.

Hey friend- Thanks for the note. Working the Support Tech role is not for the timid, as hours can be dynamic, realizing many times we are on the front end of aircraft induction. I do think there is stability (especially right now) with customers preparing fleets for Summer flying season. Oh, & get those A&P ratings. George T. Baker, National Aviation Academy, Embry-Riddle, & Broward, all are excellent 147 schools. They know me & the Company. Blue skies, & let's keep turning those wrenches! V/R, G-Man

Pros

good pay and that's it.

Cons

everything. where to start - new employees are treated like garbage. no vacation days until 6 months then you get 3 days.... for an entire year (sick/vacation). useless pto. no insurance... even though you are working for AAR they use a staffing company - which is still aar to get away with this. not paid for hours worked - manipulate hours/pay weeks in order to avoid paying OT. scummy leadership, favoritism, and unless you're related to or sleeping with someone in leadership - you will get laid off.
