Pros

Customer focused mainly, excellent colleagues. Good overtime pay when available.

Cons

Very complicated structure, and often advice which most colleagues feel strongly about is discarded. Also some managers are not nice but do deliver results, which they are rewarded for, but staff are abused.

Pros

The people, the pay, the generous pension scheme, the excellent employee benefits and experience days.

Cons

Shift work. The managers are all very clicky so you can't raise a grievance without it getting back to your line manager (especially if it's about your line manager). Everything takes so long; I waited 6 weeks for my employee ID card and the request for my PKI token (a USB drive which allows you to access payslips, book holidays etc) was never processed so I had to do this myself. Your time at E.ON is very dependant on the manager you're placed with.

Pros

Eon offer great additional benefits to compliment their already generous salary packages. They appear to have real concern for the well being of employees, and will listen when required. They are a forward thinking company, and understand the importance (and the benefits) of a happy workforce, and are not stuck in the dark ages like some other businesses. They are keen for employees to progress if they have the desire to do so, and will support you all the way if you are willing to put in the effort.

Cons

The corporate structure seems very complicated, with even local managers unsure of who does what at the level above them. Some policies can be over complicated leading to inefficiencies, as everything is centralised. Slightly more freedom at a local level, or smaller regional teams would lead to better efficiency at local sites
