Pros

Management genuinely cares about workers and their career advancement--for which there are many opportunities. There's a healthy blend of young, energized newbies as well as more experienced tech professionals that makes for a great work-a-day culture. It's a great combination--plenty of new ideas and enough practical experience to achieve them. During my last review, my manager said she was more interested in building upon my strengths than obsessing over my weaknesses. After 20+ years in tech, that seemed to me a profound statement.

Cons

Communication between departments is not as free-flowing as it could be.

Great work/life balance.

Pros

Management is very flexible with respect to working remotely. Also work/life balance is good since we account for development/testing/incident-handling on a biweekly planning meeting.

Cons

Getting to senior involves having visibility like giving out talks, or organizing general meetings, etc., sometimes without providing much value. I would prefer if technical expertise and consistent execution were rewarded instead.
