      This is a maturing business

      Pros

      Decent brand power and friendly helpful colleagues. Decent salary in the market.

      Cons

      This is a business going through a steep growth curve. My experience was sub-par but may not be the norm. There was no time for an induction, straight onto client work leading a pre-selected team that had little previous experience. Quickly translated into 60-70 hour weeks and most weekends. Very little in the way of a tried and tested central approach / knowledge base / repository to draw upon. Knowledge of internal processes comes with length of service or connecting with the right people, rather than it being clearly documented, trained and communicated. Probably okay for seasoned Consultants looking to progress, but they are actively recruiting SME from industry, many of whom I suspect will struggle to put up with the above.

      Consultancy at its worst

      Pros

      Salary but only if you’re hired directly, not if your company has been acquired, then you make 25% at least.

      Cons

      Total lack of respect for skills and experience A levelling system that has no coherence and puts people with no experience or skills above others for reasons never explained Null consideration for creativity Shameful integration of acquired companies, with unlawful repositioning of highly skilled workers

      Emphasis on consulting over data science

      Pros

      - Lovely team, friendly culture - Great range of clients - Autonomous work and great recognition

      Cons

      - Too much focus on internal work to sate people's interest in Data Science - Sold as a very technical role in the interview, the reality was much more focused on classic consulting work like presenting to clients, packaging up work for future business dev.
