      No data science work to be found - look elsewhere

      Many nice people within the business, it's real shame about the cons

      Like many recently hired and existing "data science consultants", you're very likely to find yourself in a business analyst (or worse) role. It is not an exaggeration to say you're misled during recruitment and hiring and are told to "deal with it" upon landing. I've heard of people who have been on non technical roles for over a year. The churn in data science consultants reflects this. Apparently there is no performance bonus and very minimal pay increases for those below Senior Consultant grade. All personal development is on your own time and even when you get some qualifications and experience, there is no guarantee of a new role.

      Strategy consulting firm with an identity crisis

      Below market compensation, no clear path for promotion, measured against metrics that one has no control over (utilization rates for junior consultants), limited investment in training, highly political environment

      Deceiving Recruitment Process - NO Data Science Work

      talented people working for the company

      Cons

      Company is recruiting very aggressively. Hiring very technical people for roles that do not require technical skills. There is no data science work. there is more supply of data science talent than there is actual work to do in this field. If you join, you will end up formatting slides and excel for months at the time. If you take your technical career seriously, you should not join this company. Management does not really care, they know this is happening and they don't do anything about it, except keep hiring PhD's to format power points. Think twice.
