Pros

Coworkers are very helpful and cooperative.

Cons

Mangers and Senior Managers are doing politics at their worst level. No project and no onsite for Kolkata Location specially for Apss One NA. Senior Resource (especially P5) are worst sufferer.

Pros

Work life balance, so they compensate less also. Somewhat nice company policies. Onsite opportunities. Few good projects and nice colleagues.

Cons

Poor compensation. Once you get into the company with a package don't expect it to rise fairly as per market standard. People who joined with me faced the same, at one stage our experience was more then out salary (in Lakhs) If you get into one project and are looking to move to a different project, its all in the hands of your manager and they rarely show any interest in that. Would not let you go out easily. Fresher do not get their say to work on a particular project/technology. The guy might have wished to work on Java/.Net/SAP etc. he may end up working in a project where Mainframe is running. No one cares and you would have to fight like hell to get out of it if you want. Some managers are totally incompetent and take resources as their owned property (specially freshers) . Some of the projects are quite boring as well.

Pros

The company culture and, specifically, the graduate program environment are excellent. Collaborative, open, honest and supportive senior managers, good working hours, interesting and varied roles depending on engagements. The social atmosphere is also great, as well as the salary. If you want to work in a dynamic, challenging environment with very bright and interesting people, this graduate program is excellent. Management are always open to feedback and ideas, and there is a strong emphasis on collaboration and innovation. It's easy to carve out your niche or expertise and I feel rewarded for the hard work I do.

Cons

Engagements can be very different from each other- you may get a great role then move to something you don't find as interesting or challenging. There is also a load of internal work to complete as well as client work, which can sometimes be excessive but can be easily managed if flagged in time and organised properly. You also have to be prepared to travel often and stay away from home, often for the entire working week. However, the expense policy is generous and business travel is always comfortable, with travel times to client site taken into consideration. Honestly, there are hardly any cons for the Capgemini UK Consulting Graduate scheme.
