High turnover, no room for growth and poor management.

Pros

The people at the AG branch are some of the kindest and most diverse people I've ever had the pleasure of working with!

Cons

Internal service departments are understaffed and overworked. Processing reimbursement checks, and sometimes getting a response from HR took months and multiple followups. The Marketing department as a whole is very volatile and has a high turnover rate with few experienced managers. This directly reflects the CEO's management style, as he is head of the marketing branch and insists on maintaining a heavy hand on nearly all projects within the department. I've heard that R+D, Sales, Events, Education and Support enjoy greater autonomy in projects, impact in the field, and have a more stable, positive working environment.

No respect for employees

Pros

Nice colleagues, international atmosphere, gym, canteen

Cons

Unfortunately everything positive done by the company is done for its marketing only. Employees are never asked for feedback. You have to follow all the rules such as no food at the desk (not even an apple is allowed to be placed on your desk), no plants, no personal belongings (pictures, etc.), it is strictly forbidden to take any dish (even tee or coffee mug) from the restaurant to your office or even kitchen, no microwaves (!) because of the possible bad smell of the food that people might bring with them (not even in the restaurant), and the list can go on... But the worst is that the employees are not valued or respected at all, HR does whatever the management tells them, people are fired for no clear reason. No flexibility, no home office (not even for emergency, although technically possible). Company update in an international company with English as official language is done in german, and when people asked for having it in english they were told to learn german. There is an extremely high employee turnover.

Pros

I would have to think very hard about this.

Cons

Abysmal experience with HR on more than one occasion. Curt and information sparse responses to inquiries about career opportunities with no feedback regardless of qualification or suitability.
