Everybody cares about promotion only

Pros

None, stay away from this company

Cons

Everybody is pushy and aggressive and cares about promotion only A lot of over engineered code just because somebiday had to promote One of the metrics for promotion is the number of comments on pull requests, this blows in the face of sdes of course because you'll have random questions on your pull requests... Some of them not related to the current pr!! Highly disappointed about the quality of projects I found here Management is encouraging this type of behavior

Pros

Challenging and impactful projects in a fast-paced environment with smart colleagues. The Berlin office has amazing teams across orgs and bright young people. WLB in Berlin is good too (28 days of PTO)

Cons

Doesn't pay as much as competitors for the same caliber of work. Amazon rides on stock price, they avoid giving refreshers (so tenure is not properly rewarded) because the stock price is always going up.
