I had on-campus placement in the year 2018. They make you sign a contract to work for 2 years, which if broken had to be compensated by paying 2 lakh. This kind of ties you in to work for atleast 2 years. Learning growth was not much. Much of what i learned was more useful in the company itself. There was a hint of office politics as well.

Plenty of office politics and almost everybody has a hidden agenda. Despite what HR consistently claims, its policies and processes lack transparency, especially those relating to role appointments, promotions and retrenchments. It's certainly not based on performance... Who polices the police? Even in APAC, the more senior roles and promotions are given mainly to their compatriots from EU (or US/AU). Even the very few locals that play the game really well (but how do they sleep at night?) can only manage to claw their way to mid level roles (with seemingly senior external titles).
