Pros

Exceptional people and a genuinely collaborative culture with minimal internal politics. A flat structure that gives you real exposure and responsibility. The work is high-impact, focused on complex, meaningful issues that truly matter to clients. Strong support for professional development and clear opportunities to grow. There is a real sense of team camaraderie and shared purpose. The firm’s differentiated, hands-on approach to consulting is valued by clients and sets it apart in the market.

Cons

The hours can be long, as expected in consulting, particularly during intense delivery phases. At more senior levels, balancing project execution, business development, and practice building can sometimes be challenging.

Pros

Constant learning, unique and high value-add work, good comp and benefits, coworkers with varied skill sets, no "up or out," ability to choose how much involvement you have outside of client delivery work

Cons

Long hours at times, some senior leaders don't respect pre-planned PTO, merit increases and bonuses are a "black box"

Pros

I work in Corporate Services, and have found that AlixPartners is a truly professional and collaborative environment where you get to work alongside highly competent, motivated people who care about doing things the right way. Teamwork is a real strength—both within teams and cross‑functionally—and I’ve been able to build strong, meaningful relationships across the firm. The firm makes a clear and consistent investment in its people through staff development, learning opportunities, ERG groups, and thoughtful office culture and activities that help create a sense of belonging. Leadership values collaboration and growth, and that shows in day‑to‑day interactions. Benefits are outstanding and very competitive, and overall there’s a genuine sense that employees are supported and valued, both professionally and personally.

Cons

Some work can be siloed, and it’s not always immediately clear who to go to for specific questions or how certain backend processes work. That said, once you find the right people and connections, things run very smoothly—so it’s more of a learning curve than a true downside.
