Professional fees are expensive compared with other strategy firms. Then, comps are good and generous use of expenses.

Cons

Appraisals are not fair. MDs are deciding promotions and kick-outs as they like. If you argue with MDs, you can easily get fired suddenly.

Pros

Good pay, solid folks in certain groups in certain pockets. AlixPartners has made great strides in improving the culture, but it takes alot to create and institute incentives and disincentives to foster a stable culture

Cons

Where do I start? The churn at multiple levels is higher than other shops. Lots of causes, but the key one has to do with bad incentives. Money over morals, feifdoms, nepotism, etc.
