Pros

- decent pay and benefit - close interaction with senior management - good project delivery can be competitive to MBB - some people are top and well established in the industry

Cons

- gentlemen's club culture; corporate value is very outdated, even though they pretend to be cool - politics can be very serious; they fire people easily - all arrogant white male; in some project, team work is a joke - they like talking about knowledge accumulation, but it's mostly people who don't really read or think innovatively copy and paste from other consulting reports

Pros

A relentless focus on the dollars and management of companies; Working exclusively with the C-suite and Board rather than consulting to middle management.

Cons

100% travel can erode work/life balance

Pros

1. Amazingly challenging projects 2. Very high level of autonomy 3. Extremely smart and driven colleagues 4. Everyone always expects the best,l which drives everyone to work at the maximum level 5. Great compensation and attractive benefits 6. The Perks. Meals, events, bonuses, conferences. AlixPartners treats their employees well 7. Work hard, play hard.

Cons

1. Lack of direction. You are in charge of your own career. If you do not make an conscious, constant effort to self-promote and network, you will be lost in the shadows. Sometimes it can be impossible to know where you're headed. 2. Lots of plans and lots of talk however until whatever you've been promised actually happens, don't believe it for a second. This applies to promotions, staffing , length of time on an engagement, etc. 3. Unbelievably high expectations and relentless working hours 4. Often feels like a bunch of small specialised teams rather than a cohesive company. A bit decentralized.
