~The hire in rate was more than local companies but it isn't anymore. ~There is favoritism through out the place so if you can weseal your way into someone's pocket you're set for life. ~They dont do random drug tests just the initial upon hiring so just pass your first one and then you're golden. Most people in all three shops in cadillac smoke Marijuana even supervisors walk into their shifts smeeling like it. ~They make sure when there is lay offs that they only lay off just below the 50 emplyee threshold so they don't violate Michigan laws which is super duper and then they don't have to tell anyone about the lay off at all really. They'll just lay people off as scare tactics during a contract year with their Union absolutely ruining multiple employees lives with no care or concern for those employees whatsoever. ~They make sure to rush production months in advance making it seem like they're handing out OT when in reality they're just wiping out the workload for employees so they could set up for layoff and claim "there's no more work" at least you got OT earlier this year. ~There's a handbook but don't worry the company doesn't follow it but if you don't follow it you're in trouble for sure so make sure you read it ~ If you try to report harassment and ask for help and get told someone will help you with it they won't. I reported to a Supervisor and HR Rep. But they'll make you feel like they will so that's a nice feeling at least. ~ If you're within your 90 days the union will take Dues from you and will NOT do anything for you bc that's Your PROBATIONARY PERIOD and if they decide to fire you before those 90 days you will not get those DUEs back for some reason. ~ You get to go through hours of training when hired in about harassment and then there's a strong possibility of YOU getting harassed countless times with no repercussions to the perpetrators no matter how many times you tell your supervisor they just won't stop. ~ Even if the Union is aware of dirty dealings occuring against you they won't take action until it is too late to say sorry and most likely someone has been terminated from the company. ~ Don't drink from the water fountains in any of the Cadillac locations or use Ice from the machines this is information from the technicians that hook up the machines. They themselves say they wouldn't dare do it. ~ inventory is constantly getting 'lost' broken, damaged, or just not accounted for and supervisors blame lower employees for it due to them telling employees to just "run operations without travelers" in order to keep things moving. This process is necessary to track the inventory properly and its all lies.
