I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Oak Grove, KY) in Oct 2013
Interview
Was interviewed for grocery department at a Super Center by two managers (one Zone Manager, which is no longer a position they have, and the other a Co Manager). The qustions were all reasonable and easy to answer. Although many have to go through a second interview I did not. I assume they were satisfied with my responses. I was offered a job on the spot.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Scarborough, ON) in Nov 2012
Interview
Group interview. During the open question period I asked how far in advance we would be getting our schedules because I needed to coordinate with my other job. The interviewer took me into the next room and yelled at me (with the door open) for wasting their time if I wasn't going to commit all of my attention to them. I should have left at that point but at the time I was a student and I needed the income.

Why do you want to work here? What do you feel you can contribute?
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Walmart
Interview
I was dissapointed from the start, my interview began 20 minutes late, with the first 10 minutes of my wait devoid of any sort of contact for inquiry. The actual interview was easy, one question and I was offered the job. Unfortunately everytime I asked for details on the role and pay I was told someone else would go over it with me. No one ever did, I was told my hiring needed manager approval first so I would be called in to go everything once it could be made official. When I finally received the call 4 days later, I was asked to show up same day for orientation. I was actually out of town for a funeral at the time, I mentioned I would not be able to come in and that I still hadn't been told any details, including salary yet. I was again dissapointed when the response I got was a short, frustrated, "you never asked." This followed by a very short outline of compensation and still no clear mention of actual hours beyond "part-time". All information I gathered from the application already. The hiring manager hung up after letting me know she'd call back for the next orientation, I didn't even have a chance to decline.
