I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Walmart in Jun 2014
Interview
It was pretty straight forward. What is your experience in retail. How did you handle an upset customer or went above and beyond to help a customer. A few days later the customer wrote a complement letter how I assisted her with her situation.
Quick and easy. Straightforward. They don’t ask many questions maybe one situational but that was for the asset protection role any other role the just want to ensure you will come to work.

Question 1
What’s your availability? Do you have transportation?
The interview was straightforward received me well. i was then hired after around 3 days of waiting. I would say the hardest part was getting the application through enough times for it to work.
Interview process is pretty chill, especially if you are already a Walmart employee since they are a vendor company. If you have cashier experience elsewhere, it's a major plus. Apply either on official Walmart website or Job portals like LinkedIn or Indeed. Initial HR screening round plus on-site job related questions could be expected.
