I applied online. I interviewed at Target (Miami, FL) in Nov 2020
Interview
Recruiter contacts you then boasts about Target’s omnipotence and benevolence while expecting the interviewee to reaffirm such braggadocio by kissing the ring. Often the recruiter will claim they are interested in you for a specific position that you applied for, drag their feet (weeks), and then explain that the position was filled internally. After this, the recruiter will offer a token gesture of a lower level position as if ‘getting your foot in the door’ at any cost is somehow worthwhile. If you continue the relationship beyond this phase of bad faith, the recruiter will come back with a canary in their mouth a few weeks later asking you to apply to a similar job to the one your initially applied for. Thereafter you will undergo a ‘behavioral’ based interview before advancing to speak with a Store Director or District director depending on your specific role. Throughout the recruiter will lie about salary ranges. Hold out, if they want you they will pay up.
The interview process includes you sharing your availabilities, years of experiences in different areas (guest service, clothing, electronics, ...), and situational questions. Make sure you practice and know your past experiences well so the interview goes smoothly.
