The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target in Jun 2010
Interview
Started with an interview at store level with HR and then a second interview with the Store Mgr. A week or 2 passed by and another interview was set up at a different store with that Mgr and then another store with another Mgr! Another week or 2 went by and an interview with the DM took place at yet another store. The next day the HR Mgr called to have me come in that week to meet/interview with another store mgr. I was finally offered a job and am awaiting drug test and background check.

The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Target (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2010
Interview
Lots of personality questions and they seemed pretty selective on who they wanted to join the company with the current state of the economy. It was first a call from a recruiter since i submitted my resume via online. Initially i had a phone interview and it went really well so she called me back about two weeks later for a panel interview. Had a couple interviews that day and since those interviews went well they asked me to come back a couple weeks later to meet the management. That also went well, so after about 5 interviews, i asked to do a final interview with the main HR and she approved me so they called me the same day and offered me a job!

Its a long process with lots of behavior type questions. everything is geared to look for specific characteristics like leadership along with your potential to improve your skills.
