I applied on line and received a call 2days later to schedule for a one on one interview. I was given 2 interviews each lasting about 15minutes. The interviewers were very friendly but professional.
Questions included Why Target, situational questions about guest services as well as Red card benefits.
Also important are past experiences related to the job you are applying for.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Target in Oct 2014
Interview
I received a phone call only a few days after I applied. The lady asked if I could work nights and weekends and then set me up for an interview the next 2 days. I answered some questions on the computer first (how would you handle certain situations on the floor), had 1st interview--about 6 easy questions, then watched a 5 min video, then 2nd interview, again, pretty easy, then was offered the job. Will start orientation next week.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What did you work on as a team and what were the results?
What is a shoe size wasnt in that a customer wanted?
What is the price was $2 lower than you rung up?
Why do you want to work here? As a cashier?
Was highered right on the spot. Had 2 small interviewers and 1 meet with the leader of the area I will be working at. I'm almost certain that I got hired for having an open availability, but then get 20 hours 2 weeks in advance pre-scheduled hours. The hours are so random and all over the place, time will only tell.
