I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Milwaukee, WI) in May 2014
Interview
The interview was quite easy if you know the background of the company. Interview was held in the back office, where there were walls desks and chairs. It was in a comfortable setting, at the end a tour was given of the store.
I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TJ Maxx (Henderson, NV) in Mar 2011
Interview
Applied online , received call about orientation , went to orientation , group interview , pretty laid back , took turns going around the table to answer questions and had the opportunity to optionally jump in to answer questions as well by raising your hand or volunteering . Typical interview the store manager came in and introduced themselves , there was a hiring manager there as well who introduced themselves and maybe about 8-10 other people in our group interview .We had to go around the table and answer the " tell me about yourself question". Shook hands with the hiring manager and store manager after the interview and thanked them . About a week later got hired (they called with a job offer.)

Interview
Picked up the application in the store, filled it out and then handed it to someone at the register. Waited to hear back from them, heard back from them quickly and the interviewing process was good. Asked questions that were on the application. After the interview you had to go through orientation and their good at giving you all of your information.
