It was quick. I applied online, They called within a week. I spoke briefly with someone. They explained the process of getting started and some of the information about the store. They inquired about my experience when I’d be able to start
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at TJ Maxx in Oct 2022
Interview
It was very quick and easy, which is rare. I applied online. There were some basic questions about work ethic and expectations and a place to add your resume and cover letter. A few days after I applied, I got a phone call from the assistant store manager. As I recall, I didn't have to follow up. They asked if I could come in for a group interview that week. The interview was 5-6 people with the same assistant store manager and the store manager. About 10 questions were asked and we had the opportunity to answer multiple times. It took about 2 hours. A few days after that, I received another call from the same ASM offering me the job, and I started on my first day a few days after that.

What is your biggest weakness, and how will you overcome it?
Came in to talk to the manager and asked a couple background questions and was hired on the spot. They wanted to know if i had experience in retail and what my availability was. No question was inherently difficult.
