Standard interview with mostly behavioural and a few technical questions about the markets and excel/AI knowledge. They were very polite and professional, and the first round lasted 30 minutes. Behavioural questions were tell me about yourself, tell me about a time you had to lead a time, tell me how you overcame a challenge, what makes you believe you would be a good fit for this role

Interview
I applied for the role through their website and received an email for an intro call with the hiring manager who was head of AI enablement with their Wealth Management division.
The interviewer jumped right into explaining the role and mentioned that the actual interview will be later when a team from UK will come onsite and hold a total of 2.5 hour interview which will include technical skills and scenario based questions.
This interview was mainly a screening call to understand salary expectations, work from office willingness. The interviewer seemed uncertain about the future of the team and growth prospects due to potential impact of AI. When asked about his opinion on the rollout speed of AI at RBC, he said that he didn't have any opinion on it, which is surprising given his title and responsibility of head of AI.
I received an email a week later that he had chosen to go with other candidates for the next round.

Interview
Uninterested hiring manager, dude started texting halfway through. Only got to this round. Essentially just grilled me on LLM concepts, none of them were particularly difficult. Look into concepts such as MCP, RAG, how LLMs work at a high level.
