I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (Menlo Park, CA) in Nov 2021
Interview
Too complex, you are not even being told that we reviewed and liked your resume, just being told you are invited to a network engineering information session.
- In that session, every applicant available, was given a QR code to scan and fill the form.
- After that form, one online assessment link was sent. (Difficulty: Easy to Medium)
- After that, a phone call with the recruiter (Mainly behavioural questions)
- After that, live coding round, production engineers from Meta expect you to solve 2 leetcode hard problems in 3- minutes (in an intern role). Editor without any suggestions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Meta in Jan 2022
Interview
First-round is 20 multiple choices in 18 minutes about TCP/IP, Linux command, and python, if you pass the first round, then the second round is a coding interview, the last round is a network interview.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta in Dec 2021
Interview
After the resume screening, I received a link for an online assessment (MCQs on Python code snippets, Linux network troubleshooting commands, Networking basics).
The second round was a whiteboard coding interview with an engineer from Meta with 2 LC med questions. The interviewer was very kind and helped navigate in the right way.
The final round was Networking basics interview - TCP (flow control, congestion control, sliding window, handshake process), IP (fragmentation, subnetting), BGP (Packet types, attributes, best path selection), OSPF, ARP, linux network troubleshooting (ping, trace route, netstat etc.), how packet flows from one source to another (in detail)
