I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Fort Worth, TX) in Jul 2012
Interview
I had two phone interviews with the department head in Fort Worth and a HR person before I accepted a job elsewhere. The calls were about 30 minutes each and the questions were basically assessments of my personality and how I would handle situations. I would brush up on basic principles in your field and the latest best practices. I was told there were candidates more qualified than me but they liked my can-do, willing to learn personality and the fact that I could apply the principles I've learned to real-world situations.

Interview
I submitted my resume and applied online. At some point I got an email back from a recruiter to schedule an onsite interview. I met with the manager a couple weeks later for the onsite interview. I was really only asked about things on my resume and I was not asked about any technical concepts/theory.
