I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin
Interview
I was contacted by the hiring manager asking me about an engineering position due to my security background in school. Must have gotten my resume from somewhere else. We talked for 30 minutes and he asked some general questions. Asked me to come in for an interview the next week. Interviewed for about 45 minutes about C++/Java methodologies. Unfortunately I didn't have any time to ask questions about the team or what it was like to work there. This is a time for me to interview you as well!! I was emailed 8 days later with an offer. The whole process from initial contact to offer took about 18 days.

Question 1
General C++ questions about keywords and some OOP questions. A few trick questions that I was really disappointed with (what is the using keyword used for in C++?). Nothing about algorithms or any actual coding. Very straight forward
Received a prescreening email, asking questions pertaining to the position, I responded to the questions. A few weeks later, received another email tell me I was no longer under consideration.
Phone call, interview, offer. Interview was very easy questions about how you would approach different situations but nothing too specific needed or challenging. As long as you are somewhat prepared with examples of difficult situations you'll be fine.
They described a bit about the role, and then asked standard interview questions, followed by consenting to a background check. nothing out of the ordinary. The interviewer was friendly and took a real interest in what I had to say.
