I applied online. I interviewed at Lightspeed (Montreal, QC) in Jul 2020
Interview
Best interview process I’ve ever been through. Five rounds in total. 1. General HR experience interview. 2. Interview with a development manager. 3. Technical interview with two developers. 4. Management interview. 5. Another HR interview. Everyone was kind, encouraging and respectful. And from start I have been made aware of all the steps, which was nice and helpful, and allowed me to prepare for every step accordingly.

Question 1
Technical discussion around real problems that I have solved in the past
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lightspeed in Jun 2020
Interview
I had a phone call from a recruiter to gauge my interest in the job and see if I am a good fit. The next series of interviews was scheduled where I had to pick my availability. I did a Technical, Management, HR, and a culture interview and it was great. The interviewers at every stage were friendly, showed up in a timely manner and I was interviewed humanly. One of the best interviews I have ever had, everyone knew what they were doing.

Question 1
Technical Interview
All-round my experience and what I am mostly interested in. Algorithmic question, should be easy to solve.

Interview
HR contacted me over social media because my skills and experience apparently matched with what they were looking for. I spoke with an HR rep over the phone and he was very professional, easy to talk with and actually sold me on working for the company, even though I didn't even apply, I was excited to move forward. Unfortunately, I was then scheduled a call with a so-called "Technical Recruiter" who was the complete opposite: blasé, interrogative, dismissive and just plain rude. It's not difficult to imagine a company-wide toxic working environment when human resources acts like that to prospective employees. Best of luck!
