I recently had an interview at Lidl for a store associate position and it was a great experience. The process started with a phone screen followed by an in-person interview with the store manager and HR representative. The interviewers were friendly and professional, making me feel comfortable throughout the process. They asked questions related to my previous work experience, customer service skills, and how I handle challenging situations. I also had a chance to ask questions about the company and the role. Overall, I felt that the interview was well-organized and gave me a good understanding of what to expect if I were to join the Lidl team.

Got to pick my phone call interview time/day, and when it was time they called exactly on schedule. Interviewer was pleasant to speak with however at the end I was informed to watch my email for a link that would come shortly to begin the next step which was scheduling a meeting time with the manager. This email never came, the was no call back number, and 3 days later I received a different email saying the position had been filled and if I wanted to be considered for future positions I could join their list. Quite disappointed as after finishing the interview I was under the impression I had the option to move forward with the position, only to find out I had either been misinformed or unable to claim this opportunity due to not receiving any other correspondence. This was also a little frustrating when you’re actively job-seeking and an option to move forward with a company could be the difference between you putting in more applications or not.
