Process first involved taking a rigorous aptitude test online. It involved a lot of patterns and algebra to test numerical problem solving abilities. Next, I received a phone interview from abroad which seemed to just test whether you could hold a phone conversation. After a month or so I received another phone call from IBM HR staff and came for an interview. Following this, I was called back to interview with the hiring managers. It was a very professional experience.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at IBM (New York, NY) in Mar 2016
Interview
A series of five interviews with different managers. The purpose of this was to determine which team that I would be on. Each manager was given a choice of who they wanted on their team, so you really want to stand out in this phase of the interview process. If you do not stand out, you will not get the job. It is as simple as that.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at IBM (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
The interview process is very good, its not project and behavioral oriented interviews. If you know about your Projects and can convey them well to the hiring team and prove you have decent coding skills then the interview shouldn't be a hassle
