Applied and received email within 10 days. Initial request was to do a video interview. The video interview isn’t with anyone. It’s where you are asked a 3-5 questions, given 30 seconds to prepare and 1-2 minutes to respond. There’s no starting over or re-recording. Nearly 1 business day after submitting interview, I received an email to schedule a 30 minute interview with internal recruiter. Third interview would have been with hiring manager but I didn’t make it to that round.

Question 1
Strengths/weaknesses, why customer success, remote work experience
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Portsmouth, NH) in May 2019
Interview
I had a referral through Becky who I met at a networking event. The process started with an email about time availability for a recruiter call from Johanna. I was moved to the manager and role play call during the recruiter call. Following the recruiter call, I received email to select times for the manager and role play call.
Manager call, with Tim, consisted of about 30-40 minutes of "get to know you" questions. The second half of the call was the role play where I was a CSM on an introduction call with the CEO of a company who recently purchased HubSpot software. I was given information about the company and the gist of what an introduction call is about prior to the call to prepare.
I prepared by researching the company's website, listing out open-ended questions, benefit statements, and testing for reaction questions I would say during the call. My goal was to learn who I would be working with at the company and set up a follow-up call with the sales and marketing team with one CTA using an inbound technique. I gained commitment for the group to prepare ideas for compelling offers to attach with the company's blog posts. I felt confident in my process and the feedback I received from the manager was positive with two small recommendations of what I could have said at the beginning of the call and a last question to ask before summarizing and moving to the next step.
I was informed within 1-2 business days by email from the recruiter with a CC to the manager that they were not moving me to the next step, at this time. I promptly responsed thanking everyone for their time and that I would continue to learn more about HubSpot because it is my goal to work there. The manager nicely responded and said to stay in touch.

Question 1
You have a great background and passion in L&D, so why a Customer Success role?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at HubSpot (Cambridge, MA) in Sep 2019
Interview
I was contacted very shortly after submitting my application. There was a delay after I submitted the initial one-way video interview, but after following up I received a response the next day. The process progressed at a reasonable pace. Follow-up was quick and promises were honored. Well organized. All interviews were virtual: phone/video. I appreciated the feedback call after being advised they went with another candidate. All-in-all a great experience and I remain a fan of HubSpot.
