Explain Tort in 8 words

This was very very ridiculous...... Suppose a table has dates and amounts, how would you calculate in quaters. I was like we can use between statement, take the months for the quater. He was like i want it to calculate backwards for the dates. To be honest, i really did not want to think about his stupid question and then he said ohhh I have given you a hint...calculate dates backward. This was really getting nuisance. He asked whether you could write a stored procedure out of it... I was like yes you could. Then he started explaining; why not use a Decode statement. I still am thinking why to make the query so complicated. I have asked this question to my n number of friends; and they felt the same too
