Bloomberg Sr Software Engineer interview questions

Round 1: Initial 30 min zoo. call with recruiter Round 2: 1 hour hackerrank session over zoom Round 3 and 4: 1 hour hackerrank session followed by system design session Round 5: In person interview

I gave this Bloomberg interview for a Senior Software Engineer role. I chose Bloomberg over FAANG as I expected it would give importance to C++/low-latency programming skills and my past experience. But to my surprise, I was asked just one unpopular LeetCode question (pun intended) and a system design question at a junior DevOps level. Rejected straight away. It just weighs whether I memorized a LeetCode problem and can bluff through a regular system design. I had to withdraw myself, as I will never be one — because I’m not one.
