I applied in-person. I interviewed at Amazon in Sep 2015
Interview
Good neat and transparent interview process. However, it was a very long day at the office. HRs were welcoming, had 5 rounds of interview and it took all day long
I applied through other source. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Amazon (Bengaluru) in Apr 2016
Interview
The Interview process consists of totally 4 rounds.
1)Communication assessment round
2)Voice and versant round
3)Operations round 1
4)Operations round 2
Before the Interview begins we will be asked to fill an online application form in the pc at amazon premises.
The 1st round is communication round where they test your communication skills.
2nd round they test our English knowledge, vocabulary, typing speed and listening skills.
who clears the 2nd round will be asked to attend the ops round 1 and 2 the next working day with the knowledge of amazons 14 principles which is available on their website.
So we will be tested according to that by no direct questions on it will be asked.
here is the problem. you might be interviewed by the team lead 1st & HR at last in ops round 2.
They expect you to talk in the way that you will be working in this role till your last breath(silly). They will type your keywords which you tell during ops round 1 interview and cross verify the same in the 2nd ops round to check your honesty.
but the fact is basically you will have to lie that you will be working in that profile life long as practically no one does. Amazon's ideology Fails here.
some candidates have "most probably asked questions" from the consultancy which they come. Then the candidate response will not be spontaneous. Many people quit the profile after minimum 1 to 1.6 years. Whats the point then ? so basically you have to lie in the ops round 1 so that you get the job.
Even though you got no job to do other than this opportunity, you will be required to say that you are interested in customer or seller support role as its customer centric.
so the fact is 99% candidates lie in the interview and quit the job later, which the recruiters ideology to take honest candidate fails.
