March is Women's History Month, and we're celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Inspired by this year’s theme, hashtag#AccelerateAction, we are exploring tangible actions we can all take to support colleagues returning to work after extended leave, which may include maternity/family leave, sabbatical, medical, deployment, natural disaster recovery or caregiving responsibilities. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, women take extended leave for their own health, or to care for others, and often for a new child. Last week, guest speaker Jessica Chivers of The Talent Keeper Specialists shared practical ideas with Arcadians for supporting colleagues returning to work. She emphasized the importance of keeping in touch during leave, reflecting on past successes, flexibility, phased returns, and clear expectations. The energy generated in the onshore and offshore wind farms in northern Germany and the North Sea must also be distributed and made available across regions. The solution to the problem is new high-voltage direct current transmission lines such as the "Rhine-Main Link".
