Pros

I worked here for 2 years before the merger and life was great. Lots of interesting work to do. It was a great environment with very little drama and politics. After the merger, things have changed and most of the changes are not favorable.

Cons

There was a lot of people that were let go and others that chose to go. There was a major management shuffle and then some identity issues. There are major egos now, politics and the managers play favorites. The turnover is higher than it has ever been. In my department, colleagues are encouraged to sabotage each other and the undercurrent is vicious. The new middle management finds a way every day to communicate why all the way that we conduct business are "wrong" in their view point, from the processes to the equipment used. No efforts are made to change anything and saying anything is support of the company is quietly discouraged which is heartbreaking. HR is silent on the issue.

Pros

Worked with a great group of guys.

Cons

Where do I start...accepted the job and moved from Arkansas. I was told before accepting the job that the pay scale was something totally different than what it actually was. I was told that there would be plenty of room for advancement. Was told that we would be paid for a certain amount of holidays. Was told many other things and EVERYTHING WAS A LIE!! This was a very big disappointment. It seemed like HR's job was to get people there by any means necessary. The only good thing about the job was the group of guys I worked with(I was really lucky to be on that shift) and I really liked the city of Mobile. Overall I lost a lot of money by taking off of work several times to attend the classes they gave before they offered the job and lost even more money by not being able to make the money they said I would be able to make. Management (Germans) had no respect for US workers and even less respect if you were African- American. The only employees they were able to keep were the ones that couldn't find another job. Another company has taken over and I hope things are better for the men and women there. Think LONG AND HARD If you are thinking about taking a position here.
