Pros

- My location had the best brick specialists, best manager, best assistant manager - The discount is 50% off with a cap of $3000 USD post discount per year -Christmas gift - yearly bonus

Cons

- There is zero upwards movement past part-time supervisor - If you have any sort of pride in your work, they will tun you into the ground - Corporate calls for hour cuts from all their retail stores while the executive leadership makes 6 figures - Brick specialists who want to work here long time are met with 18 hour (Or less) weeks! - I personally put more work into my store than the full-time supervisor, whom consistently proves that they should not be working here, but is never met with any punishment for their actions - Corporate puts strange qualifications on certain bonuses (to receive the yearly monetary bonus you have to work through April of the following year) - Corporate cuts back on employee benefits, many of which were the reason the company stood out in the retail field as such a great place to work.

Pros

Vacation, Health Insurance, and 401K.

Cons

To many tasks we have to do daily don’t match the pay. Raises and bonuses are insulting. There is no communication when changes are done typically stumble on updates on my own.

Pros

It's LEGO! Amazing product. Some great people who really believe in it and want to do good work.

Cons

You start there feeling on top of the world. Within a few months you see the truth behind the facade. Basically if you get in to that company on Director level, you are set. You can expect regular promotions if you spend all your time networking and doing no actual work. The company is founded on various 'promises' - People, Planet, Partner, etc. People is all about looking after people internally, but the company is obsessed with hiring externally and never giving internal people a chance. And no I'm not disgruntled, I was actually a consistently top performer, but was constantly turned down because they wanted someone with 'bigger/external' experience. Essentially it's an extremely hierarchical, top heavy organisation where job title is everything, and performance is meaningless.
