Very poor management!
Very poor HR department for getting residency (Indian Mafia as they are known)! The Mandoop's need to be "greased" (Paid $) if you want to "speed" things up. One friend asked for a reciept after paying and got laughed at. I understand that this may be the way to do business in the Middle East, not I am suprised WP condones this behaviour. I am sure when shareholders find out about this, they will not be pleased.
Corporate culture is very poor, "blame game" is alive and well:)
I worked in other WP offices and Kuwait does not nurture the "talk" specifically around "people are assets".
Safety is not part of the culture here, I got laughed at on my first week here when I tried to do a Safety moment (ONE WAY). Hope you read this Andrew:)
I have had the project director tell me to work overtime ensuring I would get paid, but KOC would not sign the overtime approval after I worked (from the project director's instruction).
Client KOC is very unrealistic! KOC is the same way, do not "walk the talk" and is very much a "Blame" culture.
DEFINETLY DO NOT WORK HERE!!!!!!!!!!!
