Pros

flexible, work from home, good culture, and generally good opportunities for advancement if you make a name for yourself. excellent pay and benefits.

Cons

The infrastructure needs a lot of work. There is very little automation and no desire to implement any by platform engineers, meaning there is a lot of manual repetitive work for basic tasks.

Pros

I have worked for a lot of tech companies that are not focused enough to win and make their numbers. This is not so at Virtustream. The standards are high, but the people are nice and flexible and will jump in to help you when needed. When the execs at Virtustream say they are going to do something, they do it, and they are incredibly educated on the market. The pursuit of excellence from the top creates a cool and focused culture of people who want to grow and succeed and progress. The hours may be long at times, but this is a fun group to solve problems with. This is a team that can make quick decisions and execute with agility and intelligence. It's a cool challenge and I love feeling like I am growing. Plus the people are just amazing. Your are truly surrounded by the best in the business.

Cons

Sometimes because of project-oriented work, the hours are long and expectations are high, but they have an open vacation policy which helps and are pretty flexible with time overall. Deadlines are often tight, but everyone, including the CEO pitches in to help get it the work done.

Pros

Trusted to do your job on day one. All ideas are welcomed. Employees know how to have fun. You get to collaborate with teams from all over the world. There's no ho-hum. The work is challenging enough to keep you from being bored. Lots of opportunities for growth.

Cons

Things move quickly, so being able to adapt to change is a must. If you like doing things the way they've always been done, it may be harder to adjust.
