Pros

If you are looking for a company that is energetic and you are willing to work hard, this is the place. Nothing will be handed to you, you have to earn it. The solution they are selling is the best in the industry, the best part is the people believe it. The company will continue to grow with the VMware acquisition.

Cons

Salary is far below industry standard PTO is weak Health Insurance is weak

Pros

Nothing outstanding at all, maybe furniture. Really hard to remember something good about this company. Maybe other headquarters are not such bad but the one where I've worked is really disappointing. They hiring people with poor technical knowledge as trade off with salary, as a result it becomes pain to work there.

Cons

Extremely bad managing layer Not skilled employees No attention to details Lack of respect Lack professionalism Company values Salary Personnel Perspectives Career growth They should seriously think about what type of employees they are hiring

Pros

Excellent product, Free coffee, Good on a resume.

Cons

Politics: most managers do not have skills, whether they are technical or interpersonal. They are just bad. HR are puppets. They will promise you a good progression path when they interview you, then you will become a number the day you start. HR will have absolutely no shame admitting you are a number. If you see a lot of job offers, do not believe it is becasue the company is expanding: it is just because there is a huge turnover in the workforce. VMware is not an IT company. VMware does finance, and you are way too expensive so they dont pay commissions. VMware will change your commission plan without your agreement, or even decide you should not be paid on some orders if they suddenly consider they are too big for you to be responsible for anything. Your manager will have the comissions, not you. Poor work/life balance: whatever you do is just never enough. VMware does not care about customers, does not care about employees: VMware cares about money, period. Employees are not mentioned in the VMware core values, so it says a lot about what they think of you. You are disposable and that is just good enough. You will evolve in a .XLS environment with a lot of micro management and threats of personal improvement plans. Management gets close friend with HR to cover their ass. They will only interview you because they cant get everything relocated to India yet. VMware does "virtual", so dont expect anything real or concrete. VMware is a trusted advisor when it comes to the products, but is a really bad employer.
