The Technical Senior Executives - CEO and inner circle still pushing forward, highly respected, very easy to interact with and engage on calls with. The technical SE culture is still hands on, valuable and respected.
Cons
The Sales Leadership - When the past leadership left VMware to go to Veeam the culture became horrible. The Symantec Veritas sales leads that have come in have ruined this company. Their leadership style is like oil and vinnegar when compared to the companies Senior Executive leadership. This could be seen at their first Sales Kick off. Further, the meddling of Dell has placed VMware on a slippery slope. Generic Dell AE's are useless, they are legacy hardware sales reps with no understanding of a software defined approach. Now that Dell can act as a VMware distributor trusted VMware partners are sufferring, partners are beginning not to trust VMware due to Dell's meddling. This only further confuses things when Michael Dell looks at VMware as his cash cow and the Senior Executive wait for the VMware stock to rise to hopefully leave.
