Pros

Good pay Bad Management. It's all about Micromanagement place is a nightmare to work at. The employees who have been here 5+ years are good the newer ones have just taken the company into the dump.

Cons

No Wordlife balance at all. Week nights weekends just about anytime of the day you are required to work. They have taken the fun out of work and turned it into spreadsheets and admin work. There is no more technical enablement to stay current on the technology. Spread to thin to get your work completed and too many inner politics of sales vs engineers. I loved the company when I joined a few years ago and now I'm just looking for a way out.

Nothing comes to my mind apart from salary (Initially offered) which is a bit higher than other counterparts.

Cons

VMWare IT is a place where an honest non-political technical guy should never work. Below are some of its real dark sides. - Full of politics - Open favoritism - No Work Life Balance - Absolute No recognition for the hard & effective (cost saving work) work - Managers might screw one's career - Very less hike irrespective of what you have done and achieved. - Real techie folks who are hard working and less political will be totally sidelined and will be taken for granted.

One of the original hires for vCloud Hybrid Service. Great product, great value prop, great opportunity, initially.

Cons

All the way to the top, the worst management and culture I have ever experienced. Too bad, because a great product!
