Pros

Great people and no shortage of interesting challenges . Very active in all kinds of community activities. Serious about protecting the environment.

Cons

It's a tough and demanding business and balancing work/life for many is a challenge. However that's pretty standard in the industry so fixing it could hurt T.I.'s profitability.

Pros

Exposure to some serious technical talent that is not mass produced, if you seek it out. Benefits strictly ok. Lower management not coddled if they cannot perform or become abusive, unlike most places. If the manager is not transferred or dismissed, there is almost always a way out from under the thumb of a control freak. Younger workers can usually get ahead if they are talented and work. If you seek it out, you can learn a lot.

Cons

There is a lot of propaganda about being "family" but don't believe it. They see you as disposable, and it will just be a matter of time until some political shift up above will cause dislocation. Depend on yourself! Layoffs, including engineers, happen too often once you hit 30.
