Pros

Good work life balance Great reputation in the industry Many opportunities to move laterally within the company to different roles

Cons

System for feedback and promotions is flawed and heavily rewards office politics. Messages from upper management do not always reflect reality or follow through.

Pros

Plenty of opportunities to grow regardless of your job function. You need to be self-motivated and seek learning opportunites. TI is a big company so there are many jobs available if you want a change.

Cons

Some organizations in TI seems to care more about talent development than others. It is obvious that the organization that is not growing (generating lots of cash) can not afford to train or development an employee if he/she desires a career change.
