Pros

It is a great work environment, highly collaborative, good work/life balance, reasonable compensation, challenging topics to work on, cutting edge technology.

Cons

Growth opportunities are limited, maturing industry, so focus is shifting from technology to financial aspects of the business. Talent grooming could use improvement.

Pros

Texas Instruments is a good place to start a career in terms of intial experience. Alot of very knowledgable engineers to learn from.

Cons

Recent changes at TI have disenfrachised alot of the senior engineering staff. While in the past I would have easily recommended friends to join the team, with the current direction I now would hesitate to make such a recommendation.

Pros

- Friendly and Smart Co-workers - Reasonable accountability - Nice IT resources - Ethics Dept

Cons

- Large variation in experience depending on dept. or supervisor. - Some Jobs seen to have "set asides" to fill them - Women seem to be current initiative to be promoted for gender rather than performance. - Too many MBAs working to keep payscales looking good, but at/ below averages.
